Welcome to my new blog in which I intend to document my trials and tribulations of renovating an old house in rural France. We first saw this house back in August 2013 and immediately fell in love with the character of the house, even though we were daunted by the amount of work to do in order to restore it to its former glory.
There have been many times throughout the purchase process when we have considered pulling out of buying the property due to the considerable amount of work and money required in the renovation, but our faith in the project was always restored every time we revisited the property and reminded ourselves of why we fell in love with it.
